Berend van Meer is an Organ-on-Chip researcher and valorisation officer with a special focus towards industrial and/or clinical application of the Translational Organ-on-Chip Platform, developed at the University of Twente in the group of Prof. Albert van den Berg. Berend is also appointed at the Leiden University Medical Center, where his research in the group of Prof. Christine Mummery aims at qualification and clinical translation of stem cell derived Heart-on-Chip devices. Berend is the Business Lead of the Organ-on-Chip Center Twente and dedicated to bring OoC research to industrial applications in close collaboration with regional, national and international companies and end users.
