Dreaming about the future

Postural and movement disorders

This year's opening is all about movement disorders. A very challenging and topical theme in which medical technology can provide a solution or at least a role in improving or maintaining a healthy life. To realize this, the Interdisciplinary Consortium for Clinical Human Movement Sciences & Technology (ICMS) has been established.

ICMS is aimed at improving the quality of life and maintaining independence and social participation of people suffering from movement disorders. This goal will be achieved through joint and interdisciplinary scientific research focused on innovation whereby close cooperation exists between scientists, private health funding organizations and innovative companies.
