Dr. Françoise Siepel

Françoise Siepel is Assistant Professor/ Technical Physician (Image guided robotics) and operational coordinator of DIH-HERO, an initiative to establish an independent platform which connects digital innovation hubs across Europe to create a sustainable network to boost robotics in healthcare. She joined the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics, University of Twente, The Netherlands in 2016. She received her M.Sc. in Technical Medicine from the University of Twente and Ph.D. from the University of Bergen, Norway. She lived in Norway for more than 5 years and worked at the Stavanger University Hospital affiliated to the University of Bergen. She participated in the research environment and on work meetings in several national and international studies and was visiting researcher at Kings College in London. She has a special interest in image guided robotics and likes to integrate sophisticated robotic and imaging technologies to perform minimal invasive interventions.
