Harm op den Akker, PhD
ROESSINGH RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT - Senior Researcher

Harm op den Akker, PhD (male) is a senior researcher at Roessingh Research and Development where he is leading a research track on Human Computer Interaction for Personalized Care. Harm is a Computer Scientist with a master degree in Human Media Interaction, obtained at the University of Twente. He has obtained his PhD degree at the University of Twente on intelligent ways of encouraging healthy living through tailored mobile phone interventions. He is an expert on Human Computer Interaction in the domain of healthcare applications. Harm has extensive experience in European research project, being technical coordinator of the H2020 project Council of Coaches, and involved in several national and international projects in the field of technology and eHealth (e.g. H2020-INFINITECH, H2020-SmartWork, H2020-HOLOBALANCE, AAL-LEAVES, H2020-GOAL, FP7-eWALL).
