I am a Biomedical engineer, working at The University of Twente and Roessingh Research and Development. My research focuses on combining biomedical engineering with ICT to create innovative health care services, especially holistic monitoring combining on-body and IOT sensing with subjective measurements and personalised coaching. I am especially active in European projects; I coordinated 5 and participated in over 25 other European projects. I especially like to build structures and organisations where new collaborations can grow, like RRD, TZA, VitaalTwente. Since 2018 I am "boegbeeld" of the Strategic Research program Personalised eHealth Technology, where 8 research groups work together to create innovative health services, especially for people with chronic conditions, working towards a strong regional ecosystem.
