Improving surgical training and preparation by adding unique 3D printed models
Three years ago we started our company because we believe the world of 3D printing offered much more than was currently being applied in clinical settings. We developed a technology to create patient specific 3D printed phantoms based on CT data that are highly transparent, flexible, true size, produced within 24h and economical. Over the last few years the University of Twente helped us a lot to navigate through the healthcare maze, which was completely new to the both of us. Our products are now being used in hospitals throughout Europe and we're working hard on expanding and on developing new products.

BIOGRAPHY (Chiel de Nijs)
Founder and CTO at 3D Medical Support BV. I have a background in mechanical R&D engineering and a big affinity for additive manufacturing and driving innovation. Besides my role at 3D Medical Support BV, I work at the Saxion Centre of Entrepeneurship where I coordinate and manage innovation projects between students, researchers and entrepreneurs.
