Changing nursing roles and competencies in virtual care centres
Due to an increasing healthcare demand and a shortage of healthcare professionals, innovative approaches are essential to manage the care of and provide support to the increasing number of patients in an aging population. Virtual care centres could play a key role in the coordination and delivery of care, remote monitoring, and more person-centred care. In this presentation, preliminary results will be shown on how nurses experience their changing roles and tasks in virtual care centres.
