A stitch in time saves more than nine: the sustainability of med tech maintenance
A primary objective of a hospital's Medical Technology department is to ensure the safe and continuous care of patients by maintaining and repairing medical equipment. In today's context, the sustainability aspect of repairs has gained increasing significance. I will present our findings from Isala Hospital, offering insights into the sustainability data we've gathered, with a specific focus on the life cycle of infusion pumps.

Biography
Lieke Poot received her MSc in Applied Physics in 1995 from TUDelft and earned her PhD in Neurobiophysics in 1999 from RUG. She then completed her medical physics training program in 2003 at UMCG. In the same year, she began her tenure at Isala Hospital in Zwolle, where she currently oversees the Medical Physics and Technology department. In 2020, she took on the role of Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO). Until recently, she was President of the Netherlands Organisation of Medical Physics
